SALMON BARBECUE
This Sunday, September 17th, is our annual Salmon BBQ from 3-7pm. Weather permitting, we will hold the BBQ in the parking lot like we did last year. In the event of poor weather, we will meet in the school gymnasium. Rain or shine, the event is on, so please dress accordingly. Our timeline is as follows:
- Event is open as of 3pm for gathering, ticket sales, beverage purchases from the bar, bouncy castle for the children, etc.
- there are no ticket pre-sales.
- Children’s Meals are available for serving as of 4pm.
- Salmon and/or Italian Sausage/bun dinner is available from 4:30 to 6:15pm.
- Dinner is no longer served after 6:15pm.
- Event stops at 7pm.
For those who cannot stay at the event, take-out options are available.
Below, we include the menu and corresponding prices:
Salmon Dinner (salmon, baked potato, dinner roll, green salad, donut, coffee/tea) $18
Italian Sausage and Bun Dinner (Italian sausage, Portuguese bun, baked potato, green salad, donut, coffee/tea) $13
Children’s Meal (hot dog, drink box, chips & donut) $5
1 Sausage with Portuguese bun $7
1 Children’s Hot Dog $3
Glass of Beer/Wine $5
Bottled Water/Can of Pop $2
Bottle of wine $25
(Increases in prices are simply due to increased costs from suppliers)

KNIGHTS PANCAKE BREAKFAST – NEXT Sunday September 24
The Knights of Columbus invite you to the Pancake Breakfast next Sunday after 8am, 10am and 12pm masses, by donation. Everyone is welcome.
cATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE (CWL)
Thursday September 21 – Mass at 6:30 pm followed by a General Meeting in the Music Room.
Development and Peace Ministry
This ministry is looking for young adults (ages 16-30) who would be interested in joining them and/or helping out with some events. They promotes the protection of children from disaster, conflict and trafficking through fundraising, on-the-ground charity and knowledge/awareness. If you are interested in helping, please contact our parish office.
RCIA
If you want to become a Catholic or are a Catholic who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation or just want to reconnect with your faith, please call or email our parish office to register for the RCIA Program. If you know someone who might be interested, please reach out to them and invite them to join the course. Although we started last Saturday (Sept 9th), you are still very welcome to join. We will give you more details after registration.
PREP (Parish religious education program)
PREP is for children in Gr. 1 to Gr. 7 in the public school system or a non-Catholic school. The Program will start next Tues Sept. 19 in the Holy Cross Church basement and the School building.
Classes will run on Tuesday nights from 7 to 8 pm. At least one parent from each HC Prep family should plan to attend our opening night evening parent’s meeting at 7:05 pm in the Church this Tues Sept. 19.
There are still a few spots remaining and parents can stop by the Parish Office to register from 9 am to 12 Noon or 1 to 4:00 pm. (Registrations will be accepted up until Sept. 29.)
