Remembrance Day November 11
The Parish office is closed on Friday November 11th for Remembrance Day and morning Mass will be at 9:00 am.
COFFEE SUNDAY
On Sunday November 13th, please join our monthly Coffee Sunday after all morning Masses (8am, 10am, 12pm). Now that the weather is colder, we will have coffee and baked goods in the School Gym. We have baking donated by Cobs on Kensington and Valley Bakery as well as some items homemade by our parishioners.
PURDY’S CHOCOLATES CWL CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER
Reminder: CHRISTMAS IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. How better to share your “sweetness” than by purchasing some Purdy’s chocolates! Not only are you giving to friends and family but supporting our Holy Cross CWL.

MASSES CANCELLED Tues Nov 15 to Fri Nov 18
There will be no Masses from Tuesday, November 15 to Friday November 18 (also no Divine Mercy Mass). At 8.15 am on these days, there will be the Liturgy of the Word with the distribution of Holy Communion officiated by our acolyte Carmine Morelli.
LITTLE BOOKS
Little Books for Advent and Christmas are available for purchase in the back of the church for $2 each. Please place the money in the designated box.
CWL (Catholic Women’s League)
Our next General Meeting is on Thursday November 17 at 7:00 pm in the Music Room. (There will not be a Mass before the meeting). Please join us to hear one of the inspiring talks given at the National Convention in Kelowna in August.
Our 2023 Membership drive will be the weekend of November 19 and 20 after all Masses.
SCHOOL FUNDRAISER SAT NOV 19TH
Come and enjoy a fun evening of beer tasting from the best local breweries from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Saturday November 19th in the School Gym. There is a buffet dinner following the beer tasting and dinner and dancing afterwards. Tickets are $60.00 and are available from the School office. Please come and enjoy a fun evening with our Holy Cross Community!
advent Parish Retreat: Nine Days to welcome peace
Would you like to find peace and keep it? Join us for a simple 9 day retreat from Nov 21 to 25 and Nov 28 to Dec 2. (Peace of heart is not only a blessing but also a necessary condition for the growth of our spiritual lives.) Step by step, in a period of nine days, Fr. Jacques Philippe describes how to welcome this inner peace in all areas of our existence. He shows us how to rest in the deep resonance of God’s holy peace amidst the highs and lows, ease and struggles of everyday life.
We will start with morning Mass, followed by reflection and Benediction in the Church. Please register with Dorothy Demare at dorothydemare@gmail.com by November 13 to ensure that you get your copy of the book (about $17).
CHRISTMAS MIDNIGHT MASS CHOIR
Our Christmas Midnight Mass choir is going to start practicing soon. Musicians and those who would like to sing with us in the choir are welcome. Face masks are not required but please wear one if you feel more comfortable. We will practice in the Church on Sundays November 20, December 4, 11, and 18 from 6:00-7:30 pm and on Saturday November 26 from 2:00-3:30 pm. Our final practice will be on December 22. Project Advance
We thank all those Parishioners who have donated to Project Advance so far this year. There is still time to donate for 2022.
