Remembrance Day November 11

The Parish office is closed on Friday November 11th for Remembrance Day and morning Mass will be at 9:00 am.

On Sunday November 13th, please join our monthly Coffee Sunday after all morning Masses (8am, 10am, 12pm).  Now that the weather is colder, we will have coffee and baked goods in the School Gym.   We have baking donated by Cobs on Kensington and Valley Bakery as well as some items homemade by our parishioners.

Reminder: CHRISTMAS IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER.  How better to share your “sweetness” than by purchasing some Purdy’s chocolates!  Not only are you giving to friends and family but supporting our Holy Cross CWL.

Deadline to submit your order is Sunday November 13th.

To place an order, click on the following link to “Join a Campaign”:

Should you have trouble accessing the site when clicking on the link, please visit: and select “Join a Campaign”. You will be asked to provide your email address and our Customer Number (63039).  If you cannot order online, a paper order form is available from the CWL Bulletin Board in the Church foyer or from the parish office.  Your orders will be available for pick up after all Sunday Masses on December 4. For questions ( or the Parish office.

Thank you very much for your support!

advent Parish Retreat: Nine Days to welcome peace

Would you like to find peace and keep it?  Join us for a simple 9 day retreat from Nov 21 to 25 and Nov 28 to Dec 2.  (Peace of heart is not only a blessing but also a necessary condition for the growth of our spiritual lives.) Step by step, in a period of nine days, Fr. Jacques Philippe describes how to welcome this inner peace in all areas of our existence. He shows us how to rest in the deep resonance of God’s holy peace amidst the highs and lows, ease and struggles of everyday life.

We will start with morning Mass, followed by reflection and Benediction in the Church. Please register with Dorothy Demare at by November 13 to ensure that you get your copy of the book (about $17).

Our Christmas Midnight Mass choir is going to start practicing soon. Musicians and those who would like to sing with us in the choir are welcome. Face masks are not required but please wear one if you feel more comfortable. We will practice in the Church on Sundays November 20, December 4, 11, and 18 from 6:00-7:30 pm and on Saturday November 26 from 2:00-3:30 pm.  Our final practice will be on December 22. Please contact Lanny Hui at, if you would like to join or have any questions.
