Email Bulletin for Nov 17, 2023

2nd Collection Home Missions Nov 18/19

The second collection on this weekend of November 18/19 is to support home missions. This appeal supports parishes and dioceses which cannot provide basic pastoral services to Catholics without outside help. Basic pastoral services include Mass and sacraments, religious education, and ministry training for priests, deacons, religious sisters and lay people. For many decades, the Church has sent missionaries overseas to serve the people in far away countries and home missions are parishes and dioceses in our region that need the same kind of support.

INVITATION TO ALL HOLY CROSS LADIES – Please consider joining our CWL!

The Holy Cross Catholic Women’s League (CWL) will be having their annual membership drive after every Mass this weekend November 18 and 19) and new members are always welcome to join. Your support of our CWL Council by joining our Council or renewing your membership is very much appreciated.  If you or your friend or family member wants to join or know more about the CWL, please visit our CWL table in the lobby of the Church and talk to our members. You can also go to our National website where there are some brief stories and videos to inspire at

https://cwl.ca/to-inspire/

For 2023-2024, our CWL membership fee is $45.00.  pay by cheque (payable to Holy Cross CWL).  If you are not able to pay by cheque, please pay by cash (and put the $45.00 cash in an envelope with your name, address, phone number and email address on the front of the envelope.)  (Volunteers do not have change so please give the exact amount if possible).  Please advise our volunteers if you have a new address, phone number or email address and if you will be celebrating a special birthday or anniversary…we are always happy to recognize special moments!

Please be assured that any information you give us will not be shared with anyone and is kept confidential.

If you are not able to attend Mass this weekend, please drop off your payment at the Parish Office or put it in the collection basket as soon as possible (make sure to clearly label your envelope CWL).  You can also phone the Parish office with your credit card number (604-299-3814 ext. 2) to pay by credit card.
