MASS TIME CHANGES
The next 2 weeks are Spring break for the School so morning Masses will be at 9:00 am from Monday March 11th to Friday March 22nd.
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME THIS WEEKEND
A reminder to put your clocks ahead 1 hour before you go to bed on Saturday night as we switch to Daylight Savings time this Sunday morning (March 10).
COFFEE SUNDAY
This Sunday, March 10, please join our monthly ‘Coffee Sunday’ after all morning Masses (8am, 10am, 12pm) at school gym. As Fr. Chris’ birthday is approaching, we will celebrate with a cake.
We will also be selling raffle tickets to raise funds for Coffee Sunday. The prize is an Italian Gourmet Basket (over $100 value) donated by Knights of Columbus. Tickets are $2/each, so bring some change/cash!

LITTLE BOOKS FOR EASTER
The Little white Books for Easter are available for sale at the back of the Church for $3.00 each. Please place the money in the designated box.
LENTEN PENITENTIAL SERVICE AT HOLY CROSS
Please join us on Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00 pm in the Church for our Lent Penitential Service. There will be 6 priests available to hear your confessions. If you cannot come to our Penitential Service, there are services throughout the Archdiocese. For information on confession times at other parishes https://rcav.org/lent/confession
ALTAR SERVER MEETINGS – HOLY WEEK
Altar servers who would like to serve during Holy Week must sign-up for the day(s) he/she is planning to serve. Altar servers can sign-up for one, two, or all three days. Once signed-up, he/she must attend the meeting(s) on the day(s) he/she has signed-up for (Holy Thu/Good Fri/Holy Sat). Each celebration is served differently from the other two. Please note that if an altar server is sensitive to incense, it will be used on Holy Thursday & Holy Saturday. Meetings are held on the following days:
– Mar 28, Holy THURSDAY, 6:00 pm
– Mar 29, Good FRIDAY, 11:00 am
– Mar 30, Holy SATURDAY, 11:30 am

INCENSE DURING HOLY WEEK
A reminder to parishioners who are sensitive to incense, please be aware that it will be used on Holy Thursday (Mar 28) & Holy Saturday (Mar 30). It is recommended that you sit by the window or towards the back of the church.
CWL PETITION
CWL is collecting signatures to present to our local Member of Parliament in support of Bill S-210. This Bill will safeguard children from the harmful effects of violent and degrading pornography by requiring companies to implement meaningful age verification measures on their websites.
On March 09 or 10, please sign the petition at the back of the church to show your support for this Bill.
40 DAYS FOR LIFE
Thank you for all of your support for the 40 Days for Life, Lenten Campaign. We are into the second half and going strong. Please keep your prayers and participation coming.
As an update, the Midway Rally was held onsite, on Sunday March 3rd. We had 21 people attending. We had a great time praying together and we were inspired and blessed to hear from Colleen Roy and, Bishop Munroe, Fr. Tritchler and Fr. Larry Lynn.
If you have not had a chance to join in or are looking for more opportunities I would like to draw your attention to the following:
Every evening at 8pm up to and including March 24th, which is Palm Sunday, you can gather with us on zoom, through rcav.org on BEHOLD for the Nightly Rosary. All you need to participate is internet access, and a device.
We are also excited to invite you to join us at the Closing Rally. Please mark your calendars. It will be held on March 24 (Palm Sunday) at 2pm, on Willow St. and 32nd Avenue.
Fr. Mark McGuckin, Pastor of St. Francis de Sales Parish will give remarks to encourage us in our Prayers for the life of the unborn and the vulnerable. We will also pray a Rosary together. Please bring your Rosary. We are excited for another strong turnout.
EASTER EGG HUNT – EASTER SUNDAY AFTER 10 AM MASS
Hop on Over! We invite all young children to the Easter Egg Hunt on the parish lawn. In case of rain it will take place in the school gym.

The deadline for your order is March 18th and your Purdy’s chocolate order will be ready for pick up on March 28 atHoly Cross School – 12:00 Noon or In the Church foyer – 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 pm. (before 7:30 pm Holy Thursday Mass).
YOUTH GROUP (help with the EASTER SUNDAY EASTER EGG HUNT)
If you would like to help our Parish Youth Group by buying Easter eggs for their Easter Egg hunt, you can buy a bag of Purdy’s chocolate mini eggs or chocolate bunnies as part of your Purdy’s order and it will be donated to the Youth Group to use in the Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday. Please select from item numbers: 24911 or 27933 or 24933 for youth group donations.
Please send an email to Laura at laurazumpano@gmail.com to let her know that a bag of chocolates in your Purdy’s order is for the Youth Ministry. Laura will give it directly to the youth group from your order.
HOLY CROSS ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Our Holy Cross annual Golf Tournament is on Friday May 10, 2024 at Riverway Golf Course. More details will be forthcoming.

The Stations of the Cross will be at 7:00 pm every Friday during Lent. There will be no confessions on Friday evenings.
