The last Pancake breakfast of the school year is this Sunday June 25 after the 8:00 am and 10:00 am Masses. We hope to see many of you there!
Last Day of School and Morning Masses
As Wednesday June 28th is the last day of school for Holy Cross Students, morning Mass will be at 9:00 am starting on Thursday June 29th.
SUMMER HOURS FOR PARISH OFFICE
The Parish Office will be closed on Monday July 3 for the Canada Day statutory holiday and summer hours will start on Tuesday July 4th. Summer hours (for July and August) are 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday to Friday.
Reverently Laying to Rest Service – July 29th
The Gardens of Gethsemani is offering families a no-cost service to inter cremated remains in a communal crypt. The service is meant for families with cremated remains that have been kept at home for more than three years and who may have financial difficulties. This pastoral service is meant to help bring healing and closure for families. It provides a final resting place in a Catholic cemetery — a witness to the Catholic faith and an environment where souls are prayed over by the community. The prayer service and inurnment will begin at 11:00 am on July 29th. Donations to the Works of Mercy fund would be welcomed and appreciated. Arrangements, including paperwork, for interring remains in the crypt must be completed by July 14th. Space is limited and conditions apply. PARISH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM (PREP)
Thank you to the many families who have already registered for PREP for 2023/2024. Registration for 2023/2024 is still open (but the “Early Bird” rate is no longer in effect.)
Registration will close on Wednesday June 28 and will reopen for the few remaining spots on Tuesday September 5th.
You can drop off your registration at the Parish office between the hours of 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. Please let your family and friends know that PREP at Holy Cross starts at Level 1. (Level 1 students are those students enrolled in Grade 1 in Sept 2023).
VOCATION LIVE IN WEEKEND
There will be a Vocation Live-In on the weekend of July 8-9, 2023 at the Seminary of Christ the King in Mission, BC. Anyone wishing to enter the Seminary in the next couple of years is welcome. For more information phone 604-826-8975 or email rector.minors@sck.ca
