The next 2 weeks are spring break for the School so morning Masses will be at 9:00 am from Monday March 14 to Friday March 25th.
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME THIS WEEKEND
A reminder to put your clocks ahead 1 hour before you go to bed on Saturday night as we switch to Daylight Savings time on Sunday morning.
SUPPORT OF UKRAINE REFUGEES
Many parishioners have expressed their concern and willingness to help the people in the Ukraine. Fr. Chris, through his contact in Poland, has found a way to directly support a group of women and children who fled the war zone in the Ukraine. As a Parish Community, we would be financing their accommodation (apartment, media, etc.) as long as it is necessary, for up to six months. Approximate monthly cost will be $1,000 per month. If you would like to support this “cause”, please put your donation into an envelope clearly marked “Ukraine”. You may put it into the collection basket or drop it off at the parish office. Please note – we will NOT be able to issue a tax receipt for this donation.
COVID REQUIREMENTS UPDATE
As of Friday, March 11, 2022, we no longer have capacity restrictions on worship services. All of our worship services can proceed at 100% capacity and there are no longer any requirements for vaccination verification. The requirement for everyone to wear a mask has also been removed.
PURDY’S CWL CHOCOLATES FUNDRAISER
This Easter, you can support our Holy Cross Catholic Women’s League by getting chocolates for your Easter baskets or Easter egg hunt from Purdy’s.

The deadline for your order is Sunday March 27th and your chocolate order will be ready for pick up after all Sunday Masses on April 10th (Palm Sunday) in the School Gym.

If you do not feel comfortable ordering online, you can complete a paper order form. CWL ladies will be at all Masses this weekend to answer your questions and hand out order forms for you to take home, complete and return with payment (cheque preferred) next weekend or no later than Sunday March 27th. Your chocolate order can be picked up after all Sunday Masses on April 10th (Palm Sunday) in the School Gym.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS PRESENTATION
There will be a Stations of the Cross presentation by Iconographer Steven Knight on Tuesday, March 15 at 7 PM in the school Gymnasium. Steve will explain the origins of the Stations of the Cross and the purpose of the Sacred Arts in Churches, which is to teach and lead us in prayer and meditation. He will also explain the symbols and artistic features of each of the stations. All are welcome to attend.
EASTER VIGIL CHOIR
Our Easter Vigil choir is going to start practicing soon. Musicians and those who would like to sing with us in the choir are all welcome. Males who can sing tenor or bass are especially needed. At this moment, for everyone’s safety and peace of mind, we will sing with a mask on and comfortable masks for singing will be provided. We will practice from 6-7:30 pm at the Church on Sundays March 13, 20, 27, April 3, and 10. Please contact Lanny Hui at lanny.hui@gmail.com, if you would like to join or have any questions.

The Holy Cross Annual Golf Tournament is back this year! It is on Friday May 13, 2022 at Riverway Golf Course. Our website for registration for groups will launch March 19, 2022 and we recommend that you register as soon as you can as this event always sells out!
