PANCAKE BREAKFAST THIS SUNDAY

The Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast is this Sunday (April 21^st) after the 8am, 10am, and 12pm Masses.

Second Collection: Work of Vocations

The second collection on this Sunday April 21 (Good Shepherd Sunday), will support the next generation of priests in our Archdiocese. It funds the discernment, formation and education of our seminarians, ensuring that they receive the preparation necessary for them to be good shepherds who are effective in their priestly ministry. You can make a tax-deductible donation in-person or online at rcav.org/vocations

RELIGIOUS ARTICLES MADE BY CHRISTIANS IN THE HOLY LAND

Farid from the Holy Land Group will be selling religious articles made from olive wood from the Holy Land.   These articles are handcrafted by the Christians of the Holy Land who are seeking your support today to assist them in staying in the land of Christ.  It is also a way of preserving a local cultural heritage which is in danger of being lost as more Christians feel pressured to leave their homeland for political reasons.  These religious articles can be used as gifts for first communions and other occasions and can help in praying and providing comfort, strength, and hope for people who are suffering. 

 (Please note that that they accept only cash, etransfer or cheques for payment at this time.)

This Wednesday, 20 students from our PREP Program and 30 students from Holy Cross School received the Sacrament of Confirmation.

GARDENING VOLUNTEERS

Since the spring weather is here, we are looking for volunteers to help with some of the gardening around the Holy Cross grounds.  You could volunteer as little as 2 hours a week on a Saturday or a Tuesday.  Contact Lanny Hui at lannyhui@gmail.com for more information.

Easter Holy Water 

Our Easter Holy Water is available to all parishioners.  Please bring a container(s) and help yourself to the tub of Holy Water at the front of the church by the statue of Our Blessed Mother.

HOLY CROSS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REUNION
A reunion is being planned for people who attended Holy Cross School in the1960s. The event will be held in the Greater Vancouver area in the fall of 2024. Specific date, location, and other details are to be determined. 

If you were a Holy Cross student in the 1960s and you’re interested in attending, please email one of the committee members below by April 30 2024.We’ll need your name (now and as it was in the1960s); the grades and/or years that you attended Holy Cross; your email and phone number; and current city of residence for planning purposes.

If you know of anyone else who attended Holy Cross in the 1960s, please pass this information onto them. We have enough interest now to plan the event. The parish has graciously agreed to place this notice in the bulletin in the hope of collecting additional interested students .Once the committee confirms the approximate numbers, we will advise you by email on the date, location, cost and time.  At this point, we will ask you to confirm your attendance.
