TAX RECEIPTS
Your 2022 tax receipts are ready to pick up in the lobby of the Church. You will receive a receipt(s) for your regular envelope donations as well as your preauthorized, online and Project Advance donations.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST
The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a pancake breakfast after the 8:00 am and 10:00 am masses this Sunday February 26th. The pancake breakfast is by donation and everyone is welcome.
A portion of this month’s proceeds will go to the Coffee Sunday group.
CHALICE IS HERE
Chalice is coming to Holy Cross Parish! Please welcome Chalice representative Deacon Alan Cavin, who will speak at the February 25-26 Masses about the opportunity to begin a relationship with a child in need through the benefits of Child Sponsorship. It is a powerful way to reveal God’s love to those most in need! Chalice is Canada’s largest Catholic Child Sponsorship organization. STATIONS OF THE CROSS
The Stations of the Cross will be at 7:00 pm every Friday during Lent. There will be no confessions on Friday evenings.
EASTER PURDY’S CHOCOLATES FUNDRAISER
Please support our CWL Purdy’s Easter fundraiser by getting chocolates for your Easter baskets or Easter egg hunt from Purdy’s. It is already Lent and Easter will be here before you know it! You can’t go wrong with Purdy’s chocolates!
You can order directly online (please use customer number 63039) and pay by credit card by clicking on the link below to support the HOLY CROSS CWL EASTER 2023 Fundraising campaign. The deadline for your order is Sunday March 12th and your chocolate order will be ready for pick up after all Sunday Masses on March 26 in the Church lobby.

If you can’t order online, you can complete a paper order form. The forms are available on the CWL bulletin board in the lobby of the Church. Paper orders can be dropped off at the Parish office or put into an envelope (marked Purdy’s) and placed in the collection basket.”

YOUTH GROUP (help with the Easter egg hunt)
If you would like to help our Parish Youth Group by buying Easter eggs for their Easter Egg hunt, you can buy a bag of Purdy’s chocolate mini eggs (the FOILED MINI EGGS-MILK CHOCOLATE (Item #24911) as part of your Purdy’s order and it will be donated to the Youth Group to use in the Easter Egg hunt.
If you want to do this to help the youth group and you are ordering online, you can send an email to Marisa Demare (marisademare@gmail.com) to let her know that a bag of eggs in your order is for the Youth Ministry (and Marisa can give it directly to the youth group from your order) . If you are ordering by hardcopy, you can write it on the paper order form (and Marisa can give it directly to the youth group).
SECOND COLLECTION – ST. JOSEPH’S SOCIETY
This Sunday’s second collection supports retired Diocesan priests who have dedicated their entire life to the Church. Support from the community ensures a comfortable living environment, quality medical care, and other essential services for our retired priests.
EASTER VIGIL (APRIL 8) CHOIR (updated practice times)
Our Easter Vigil choir is going to start practicing soon. Musicians and those who would like to sing with us in the choir are all welcome. Men who can sing tenor or bass are especially needed. Masks are optional and will be provided. We will practice from 6-7:30 pm at the Church on Sundays March 5, 19, 26 and at 6:30 pm before Easter Vigil Mass. DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY (APRIL 16) CHOIR
Divine Mercy Sunday Mass for 2023 is on Sunday April 16at 3:00 pm. If you are interested in joining the Choir for the Divine Mercy Sunday Mass, please contact Agnes Wan at joagnes@shaw.ca or 604-671-5365. Practices will be after Friday’s 7:30 pm Divine Mercy Mass (8:30 pm) on February 3, 10, 17, 24and March 3and 10. The choir will also practice on Sundays at 1:00 pm on Sunday February 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12and April 2. A reminder that you must attend all the practices if you want to join this choir.
