This Sunday, June 9, please join our monthly ‘Coffee Sunday’ after all morning Masses (8am, 10am, 12pm). We have various treats donated by Cobs in Kensington, Valley Bakery, and from our parishioners.
ST.ANTHONY’S BREAD
Many of you know that June 13th is the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua, but have you heard about St. Anthony’s Bread? This weekend after all Masses, St. Anthony’s bread will be distributed to one per family (breaking one bread!). Find out about St. Anthony’s bread:

EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION – THANK YOU
We would like to thank you for taking part in the Eucharistic Procession on Corpus Christi Sunday last week. Despite the poor weather, we had approximately 140 people in our procession! Sincere thanks to the honour guards, altar servers, the men who carried the canopy, the Knights of Columbus and the CWL members, and the First Communion children who took the place of honour behind the Eucharist.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The Knights of Columbus General Meeting is on Thursday June 13 at 7pm in the music room.
June 22 – Sons of The Father: Christianity and Authentic Manhood
On Saturday, June 22, all men are invited to an evening of fellowship, food and formation with special guests Brett Powell (Archbishop’s Delegate for Development and Ministries), Ed Zadeiks (Alpha Canada) and orthopaedic surgeon (and father of four) Dr. Tim Kostamo.
What does it mean to be a son of God the Father? How are men called to be spiritual leaders? How can men live up to this call? These important questions for all men will be explored at this event, which will take place in the gym at Holy Cross.
5:30pm – Food and fellowship
6:30pm – Talk (Brett Powell)
7:00pm – Panel discussion (Brett Powell, Ed Zadeiks, Dr. Tim Kostamo)
8:00pm – Dessert and drinks

PARISH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM (PREP)
PREP Registration for 2024-2025 is still open on the website https://www.hcprep.ca/. Students entering Grades 1 to 7 in public schools are eligible. For any questions or for further information, contact the PREP office at dinohc@telus.net.
READERS (LECTORS) ARE NEEDED
We are looking for volunteers to read at the Sunday 8:00 am, Sunday 12:00 pm and Sunday 5:00 pm Masses. You will be at the pulpit to read the 1st and 2nd reading the Prayers of the Faithful and, depending on the Mass, the Psalm.
If you can help, please email the Parish Office at parish.hcb@rcav.org with your name, email and phone number and which Mass you would like to do the reading.
