CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE
(SCHOOL RENOVATION AND SEISMIC PROJECT)
Thank you to everyone for your incredible support! We’re excited to share that we’ve raised over $712,700 to date – an amazing milestone made possible by the generosity and enthusiasm of our school community and volunteers. We truly couldn’t have done this without you!
The excess funds raised will allow us to pay down our loan with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver and enhance the quality of the upgrades being made.
For those who received a letter regarding donor recognition, please remember to submit your completed form to the school by June 6.
As a reminder, the last day of school is June 19, after which construction will begin. We will continue to keep you updated as progress unfolds.

2ND COLLECTION – SALVATORIAN SEMINARY
The 2nd collection this Sunday is for the Seminary for our priests’ religious order, The Society of the Divine Savior, or as many of us know it, the Salvatorians.
THE FEAST OF PENTECOST
Join us to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost Celebration on Saturday, June 7 at 6:30pm at the school gym (approximate ending time at 8pm)
Program:
- Fr. Tomasz will lead us in a short prayer, introduction, and blessing.
- Final Novena prayer
- A talk given by Deacon Tim, ‘How does the Holy Spirit change my life?’
- Two personal testimonies
- Quiet prayers and worship
- Pray over anyone who desires by our prayer team
- Refreshment; buns, cold cuts, cheese, snacks, coffee, tea
We started our 9-day Novena to the Holy Spirit on Zoom last Friday. You can still join us for the Novena prayer at 7:30pm tonight via the link below. Please note, the last Novena prayers will be said in the school gym in person on June 7, and the Zoom option is not available.

ELECTRONIC SPIRITUAL BOUQUET FOR FATHER TOMASZ
You are invited to submit a spiritual bouquet for Fr. Tomasz electronically. CHALICE WEEKEND AT HOLY CROSS
Chalice is coming to Holy Cross Parish! At the June 7 and June 8 Masses, Canada’s largest Catholic child sponsorship organization will provide you the opportunity to begin a relationship with a child in the developing world through the benefits of child sponsorship. These are children in extreme poverty who need your support to excel in their education and fulfill their God-given potential. COFFEE SUNDAY THIS SUNDAY
This Sunday, June 8th will be our monthly Coffee Sunday after all morning Masses (8am, 10am, 12pm). Please come and get to know your fellow parishioners while enjoying free coffee and treats donated by Hill’s Bakery, Valley Bakery, and Cobs on Kensington. Thanks to our parishioners who are also baking some treats for us. We look forward to seeing you!
FAREWELL RECEPTION FOR FR. TOMASZ THIS SUNDAY
As we all know, our assistant pastor, Fr. Tomasz is leaving us. We would like to invite you to join us for a farewell reception with coffee, tea and light refreshments on Sunday June 8th in the School Gym at 2:00 pm. Everyone is most welcome to come and say goodbye to Fr. Tomasz.
ST. ANTHONY’S BREAD
Many of you know that June 13th is the feast day of St. Anthony of Padua, but have you heard of St. Anthony’s Bread? This weekend after all Masses, St. Anthony’s bread (thanks to our CWL and an anonymous donor) will be distributed to one per family (breaking one bread!).
