CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE
(SCHOOL RENOVATION AND SEISMIC PROJECT)
Donor Spotlight: The Boffo Family/The Boffo Foundation
We hope this contribution will serve as a reminder for future generations of our own family that this school and community is a special one that has fostered an incredible sense of faith in both the community and our own families.
Daniel Boffo
Daniel Boffo and his family have been a part of Holy Cross Parish for 60 years, starting with his parents, who immigrated from Italy in the mid-1960s. Daniel himself was part of the first Kindergarten class at Holy Cross Elementary School, and both he and his sister, Flavia, attended the school. Multiple generations of the Boffo family, including children and grandchildren, have attended the school (or are currently attending) and have been baptized at Holy Cross Church.
The Boffo family has always valued the welcoming, faith-driven community at Holy Cross. Daniel shared that “Fr. Maciej and Dino Alberti built a strong foundation of care and inclusivity, which Fr. Chris and Peter Veltri have continued to strengthen between the parish and school”. For the Boffo Family, being part of this community is an honor.
As a local builder, Daniel understands the importance of sound infrastructure. The gift made by Daniel and his family, through The Boffo Foundation, aims to ensure that many more families and students benefit from education and religious experiences, leaving a meaningful legacy for years to come.
The Boffo family is proud of their deep connection to Holy Cross and look forward to seeing this special community continue to thrive. Daniel encourages others to “use this [campaign] as an opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to so many”. He further hopes successive generations of the Boffo family can continue to occupy the second row at Mass, just as his parents, Tarcisio and Lina Boffo, originally did.
We are truly grateful to have the Boffo family as part of our Holy Cross community.
