RENOVATION and SEISMIC PROJECT UPDATE
How Can You Support Our School Capital Campaign?
We have already received several generous gifts for the campaign from the school parents, and we are incredibly grateful for the support shown so far. For those of you who would like to contribute in different ways, we are pleased to offer the following options:
Major Gifts: Some of you may have the ability to make a more substantial contribution over a longer period. For those who would like to donate a larger gift over a 5-year pledged period, we encourage you to reach out to Fr. Chris or Dino Alberti (dinohc@telus.net) to discuss how you can support our school campaign in a way that fits with your financial ability.
- One-time gifts: For those who wish to make a one-time donation, we have made it easy for you. Special envelopes for campaign giving will be placed inside each pew. Simply place your donation in one of these envelopes and drop it in the collection basket.
Thank you once again for your continued support.
SHARE CHRISTMAS THANK YOU
Praise be to God and thanks be to God. At the convent after receiving your donations, Mother Superior mentioned, “You [the parishioners] have brought us light and we will take your light to others who we serve.” Also, she said, “The light in you [the parishioners] brought hope and it showed that you cared.” Furthermore, she thanked our parish community for our generosity. Likewise, we would like to thank everyone who participated in our Share Christmas Program. Thank you to all the parishioners who took a card(s), made time to shop, and waited patiently to drop off your food donations at our gym. Moreover, thank you to all who contributed some non-food products and cash donations, all of which were given to the Sisters. Last, but not least, we would like to thank all our volunteers (adults, university students, high school students, & Grade 7s) who sacrificed their time and energy for Share Christmas during the past two weekends. From those who set up our tree, to those who manned our info table, to those who worked inside and outside our gym, to the truck driver, carpool drivers, loaders and off-loaders who moved your food donations to the convent in the Downtown Eastside, thank you–together, as a community, we brought light to the Sisters. In addition, we would like to thank Home Hardware (Commercial & Graveley) for their complimentary Christmas tree and Penske Truck Rental (Norland Ave) for the use of their truck at a discounted rate. Thank you everyone and God bless.

ALPHA – STARTING JANUARY 2025
Do you have big questions about the meaning of life? Do you want to learn more about what it means to follow Jesus? Do you want to grow in your faith? If so, we invite you to join Alpha at Holy Cross – a set of weekly evening gatherings that will explore these questions.
Each gathering consists of a dinner followed by a short video and small group discussion. Alpha 2025 begins on Friday, January 17th at 6:30pm at the parish and is free of charge. We’re welcoming all men and women to come join us, with a special invitation for parents to participate. Alpha is open to all faith traditions as well as to individuals with no religious affiliation.
Alpha has changed countless lives. To get a taste of what Alpha is about, watch this short video here on how Alpha transformed a parish in Montreal.
